Natasha Osawaru Spotted In House Assembly Hours After Losing Minority Leader Position

Natasha Osawaru, reportedly in a relationship with Nigerian music icon 2Baba, was seen at her workplace shortly after reports emerged that she had been removed from her political post.

On the evening of Monday, April 7, news surfaced that Osawaru, a member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), was ousted from her role as Minority Leader by the Edo State House of Assembly.

She was removed alongside Charity Aiguobarueghian, the Majority Leader, and Hon. Yekini Idaiye, the Chief Whip—both also from the PDP—according to a report by Daily Trust.

Despite the shakeup, other PDP members, Hon. Blessing Agbebaku and Hon. Maria Edeko, continue to hold their roles as Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the House, respectively.

Sources say the leadership changes followed a letter submitted to the assembly by Jarret Tenebe, the acting chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State. The letter reportedly highlighted PDP’s loss of majority in the assembly after four lawmakers defected to the APC.

Following these developments, a video surfaced online showing Osawaru casually dressed in a two-piece outfit during office hours. In the clip, she is seen sitting on a table, chatting with someone off-camera, and later welcoming a male visitor who addressed her as “Honourable.”
