Protesters stormed former President Muhammadu Buhari’s home in Daura, Katsina State, amid countrywide demonstrations against economic hardship and rising living costs.
The demonstrators, who are dissatisfied with the current leadership, have stopped the Mai’adua-Daura and Katsina roads.
The countrywide demonstration, which began earlier in the day, saw Nigerians from various states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) come to the streets in a show of solidarity against the Federal Government, headed by President Bola Tinubu.
Despite efforts by President Tinubu, his ministers, and security services to quell or contain the disturbance, protests spread throughout the country.
In a video circulating online, demonstrators are seen assaulting the house of former President Muhammadu Buhari in Daura, Katsina State, creating a tense situation.
