The Niger-Delta Development Commission, NDDC has shut down its operations until further notice.
The Commission also directed all staff members to stop coming to work in the meantime.
The directive is contained in a memo NDDC/HQ/HAHR/3 dated May 28, 2020, and signed by Silas Anyanwu on behalf of the Interim Management Committee.
The directive comes hours after reports of the death of the Acting Executive Director, Finance of the Interim Management Committee of the NDDC, Chief Ibanga Bassey Etang.
Chief Ibanga Etang, Ag. the Executive Director of Finance and Administration of NDDC was confirmed dead this morning of an unknown ailment.
When contacted, NDDC’s Director of Communications, Charles Odili said he has no information about the death of the Acting EDFA.
