Final year students at the University of Benin (UNIBEN) have ignited discussions online after deeming Wizkid’s song “boring” during their sign-out ceremony, subsequently requesting the DJ to play a track by Davido instead.
This event has garnered significant attention on the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), following the release of a viral video.
In the video, a group of students is seen enjoying the festivities; however, shortly thereafter, many express their discontent with the DJ’s selection of Wizkid’s song, describing it as “too boring.”
The students persistently voiced their grievances, leading the DJ to change the music to a song by Davido.
Once the new track commenced, the atmosphere transformed, with students immediately engaging in song and dance, displaying a noticeable increase in energy.
The video has since elicited a variety of responses on social media, as fans of both artists inundate the comment section to defend their preferences and participate in discussions.
