There Was Never A Time I Said I Am A Biafran – Chimamanda Adichie

World renowned novelist, Chimamanda Adichie, has debunked news reports indicating she claimed Biafra, and has said she never referred to herself as a Biafran.

The award winning author of Half of a Yellow Sun took to her Facebook page to rectify reports from blogs which had falsely attributed the Biafra nationhood claim to her person.

She posted on Facebook:

This headline below, and other similar headlines, which appeared on some websites: are false. They are completely invented; along with some accompanying quotes which have been attributed to me. I did not say or write those words.
