Niger Delta leader, Edwin Clark passes away at 97

• The leader of the Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), Prof. C.C. Clark, passed away at the age of 97.

Former Federal Commissioner for Information and prominent South-South leader, Edwin Clark, has passed away at the age of 97.

A statement issued by Prof. C. C. Clark on behalf of the family confirmed that the leader of the Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) died on Monday night. Further details regarding the circumstances of his passing will be provided by the family at a later time.

The statement read, “The Clark-Fuludu Bekederemo family of Kiagbodo Town, Delta State, wishes to announce the passing of Chief (Dr.) Sen. Edwin Kiagbodo Clark OFR, CON on Monday 17th February, 2025. The family appreciates your prayers at this time. Other details will be announced later by the family.”

This announcement follows the recent death of Afenifere leader Ayo Adebanjo, who was 96 years old.
