Some Nigerians and Ghanaians have clashed on Twitter after Stonebwoy threw his weight behind dancehall artiste Shatta Wale.
Recall that Shatta Wale opened fire on Nigerian artists over their inability to support Ghanaian artists.
He stated that the love and support Ghanaians give Nigerian artists is not reciprocated. The comments from Shatta Wale caused a stir which made a lot of Nigerians come after him.
Stonebwoy has taken to his Twitter page throw his support behind the dancehall artist Shatta Wale.
According to Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale’s approach was wrong by attacking Nigerians but however, the topic is valid for discussion.
He shared his thoughts which has caused a clash between Ghanaians and Nigerians.
A Nigerian identified as Onigbinde questioned Stonebwoy under his post saying, “Why hasn’t Ghana helped other African countries that they’re bigger than musically?
How many Kenyan artists are thriving in Ghana? How many Congolese artists are thriving in Ghana? Why aren’t those countries complaining that Gh ain’t supporting them? Nigeria owes Ghana nothing!
A Ghanaian fan also replied saying, “Nigeria’s music style is Ghanaian highlife. Afrobeat comes from that. What’s more?
Ghana made Wizkid, Mr. Eazi, Davido, Patoranking, Burna Boy, Fela Kuti plus countless male artists. Most of their female artists are not global because they hustle in their own country “Nigeria”.
