As the battle against Coronavirus continues, Nigeria has recorded 195 new infections in 10 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
This was disclosed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) via its official Twitter handle in its daily update for September 21, 2020.
According to the breakdown, Enugu topped the list of states with the most infections with 51 new cases, followed by Gombe with 40, and Lagos with 39.
The centre, NCDC further revealed that the country’s fatality toll has now hit 1,100, as two people were confirmed to have died of COVID-19 complications on Monday.
The daily recovery count dropped to its lowest in five days, as a total of 105 people were discharged, increasing the recovery count to 48,674.
A total of 57,437 confirmed COVID-19 cases have now been reported in the country.
