The Chairman of the Silverbird Group, Senator Ben Murray-Bruce, has announced the timeline for Nigeria to host the Miss Universe beauty pageant.
He noted that if Chidimma Adetshina, the current Miss Universe Nigeria, wins this year, Nigeria will be the host in 2025.
In a post on his X account on Tuesday, Bruce committed that his company, Silverbird Group, will do all it can to make Nigeria the host of the global beauty pageant next year.
He guaranteed that the difficulties faced in 2002 when Nigeria tried to host Miss World will not occur again.
He said it is time for Nigeria to regain its place in the world.
Bruce wrote: “If Chidimma Adetshina clinches the @MissUniverse crown, rest assured, The Silverbird Group will spare no expense or effort to bring the next Miss Universe pageant to Nigeria in 2025. We’ve learned from the past—those who remember our attempt to host Miss World in Nigeria in 2002 know the challenges we faced. But let me make this clear: what happened then will not repeat itself. Nigeria is set to reclaim its rightful place on the global stage, and there isn’t a force on earth that can stand in our way.”
