A Nigerian Air Force helicopter reportedly crashed early Monday in Taimi village, near Rigachikun, Igabi Local Government Area, Kaduna state.
The incident occurred near the Nigerian Air Force Air Training Centre in Mando.
The Nigerian Air Force has not yet issued an official comment on the incident, but local sources confirmed the news.
In response, troops from the Nigerian Air Force Air Training Centre and 401 Flying School were swiftly dispatched to secure the crash site.
According to eyewitnesses at the scene, the pilot emerged from the debris unscathed.
“We heard a loud noise and rushed to the scene. We were surprised and relieved to see the pilot alive,” said a local villager who witnessed the crash.
