Mansur Bamali, the late Nigerian ambassador to Morocco, was buried on Friday in Kaduna State’s historic city of Zaria.
Mourners from both inside and outside the state flocked to the Palace of the Emir of Zazzau to attend the burial and offer their final condolences to the family of the Nigerian envoy, who was regarded as a model gentleman.
Dignitaries in attendance at the funeral were Senator Uba Sani, the governor of Kaduna state; Tajudeen Abbas, the speaker of the house of representatives; Nasir El-Rufai, the governor of Kaduna state; and Balarabe Lawal Abass, the minister of the environment.
Ahmed Bamali, the late Nigerian envoy and the younger brother of the Zazzau emir, passed away at a private Lagos hospital.
He served as the Magajin Garin Zazzau Emirate Council till his passing.
In his eulogy, Governor Sani called the late ambassador a model gentleman.
