Ayo Makun, also known as AY, is a famous comedian and filmmaker who has voiced his worries about the excessive service charges from Nigerian commercial banks.
He asked how these banks can report quarterly profits in the trillions of Naira while the economy is facing challenges.
The actor highlighted that some of these fees are specific to Nigeria and called for action against them.
On his X handle, AY wrote, “Where do banks get the trillions they declare as profits every quarter, even in a struggling economy?
“The small charges and debits on our accounts need to be challenged. Many of these fees are unique to Nigeria.
