A father from Nigeria has expressed his annoyance with the school assignments his children bring home.

He shared his feelings on TikTok, highlighting how often and how complicated the homework is, which he finds overwhelming. The TikTok user, @iamxpectedofficial, talked about the difficulties he encounters and addressed the teachers directly.

He feels that teachers are relying too heavily on parents to handle homework, which disrupts his own schedule and duties. He asked teachers to create a more reasonable balance between homework and classroom instruction.

In his words: “I’m tired of doing homework with my kids everyday. This goes to teachers. You people would have told me to come and join you in school because tell me why I will be doing homework with my kids everyday. I have things to do. I have other things to do. The reason I sent them to school is for you to teach them and give them homework that they can actually come back and do by themselves.

“Not everyday I have things to do and I’ll still come back and do homework. Do you think I don’t have what to do? Abi am I doing the work for you people? Please I’m tired of doing homework o. I’m tired. Some of the homework, I have to even browse them. I am tired unless you people will start paying me for doing homework.”

Shehas been in the news lately as she recently raised concerns about the economic struggles under President Bola Tinubu’s rule.

Omokri’s challenge followed Obi’s public endorsement of the corps member for her bravery in speaking out against the government.

In a post on Instagram, Omokri questioned Obi’s support for her, noting that she has allegedly received threats from NYSC officials for her criticisms.

He futher suggested that if Obi believes her actions show good character and values, he should offer her a job in one of his companies.

“Peter Obi has several companies. I urge him to put his money where his mouth is. If he thinks that the National Youth Service Corps member, Ushie Rita Uguamaye, also known as Raye, displayed a good upbringing and projected the right moral virtues, then I challenge him to offer her automatic employment in any of his companies so she can bring that attitude which he now so admires into his companies and teach all Peter Obi’s employees to likewise behave like her.”
