Fuji Star, Pasuma Becomes an Honorary Citizen of Atlanta Georgia, USA

Nigerian Fuji Star, Pasuma was awarded an Honorary Citizenship of Georgia few hours ago, and the singer couldn’t hold back his joy as he shared the news on Instagram.

Sharing a video from the event, Pasuma wrote;

Alhamdulillah for all the blessings.??????

I have been honoured in Georgia Atlanta, USA, as a Citizen of the State. Thanks to the Secretary of the State here in Georgia for this honorary citizenship of Georgia (Atlanta). My immeasurable thanks go to the Almighty God for this wonderful accolade.

To all my fans, at home and abroad, especially here in Atlanta Georgia, thanks for your endless support. May God bless you as you keep standing by me. We shall reap the fruits of our labour. Amen.

Pasuma who has played in almost every city in the United States, was given the award following his contribution and his effort in the music industry. Also, almost all Pasuma’s children are living in the United States of America.

Here’s the video below;

Wasiu Alabi Pasuma (November 27, 1967), also known as “Oganla”, is a Nigerian film actor and Fuji musician. He was born on 27 November 1967 at Mushin in Lagos State and was brought up in Kwara State, western Nigeria.

Pasuma’s debut album “Recognition” was released in 1993. He has collaborated with several recording artists, such as Bola Abimbola and King Sunny Ade and has featured in Nigerian films such as Iyanje and Alenibare.

Between the late 90’s and early 2000s, Pasuma, propelled by this incurable facility for acquisition of pseudo-funky sobriquets, declared that he was ‘African Puff Daddy’. And by adopting such condescending title, what he lacked in critical thinking, he had in artistic foresight: upon adopting the sobriquet, he successfully harvested a herd of faithful disciples, a feat one could be tempted to dismiss as ordinary if not properly dissected.
