Nigerian Idol: ‘Whitney Houston Must Be Smiling In Her Grave’ –Reactions to Progress Powerful Rendition

Progress, a contestant in the ongoing Nigerian Idol music show, is currently trending on the microblogging platform Twitter over his powerful rendition.
Progress wowed the judges and guests while performing ‘I’ll Always Love You’ by late American singer Whitney Houston.

Whitney Houston’s songs are not easy to sing considering the high pitches, but Progress’ performance was quite impressive.

The judges and audience stood in clapping ovation for Progress after his performance as they were left speechless.

Many Nigerians have described the performance as phenomenal, while some claimed he has a similar voice to the American singer.

@deleconcept wrote: “I stood up in public and gave Progress a standing ovation…. He killed Whitney Houston’s “I will always love you”… I don’t even know any adjectives to describe his performance. Gosh!”

@TWEETORACLE wrote: “What stands Progress OUT is his versatility. He can sound like Whitney Houston one minute and like Luther Vandross the next. This is the MAN, its crazy what he keeps doing week IN week OUT. It’s incredibly smooth. This guy is GOOD and is going all the wayyyy”.
