A Nigerian woman who recently posted on social media about her situation as a jobless graduate has found work.

In a video that trended, the young woman with TikTok account, @nneennaya_, was shown lamenting about her inability to obtain a job.

She was troubled by the fact that she had finished her mandated one-year youth service but was still at home doing nothing productive.

Tears streamed down her cheeks as she described the toll it was having on her, despite the fact that she was embarrassed.

Interestingly, not long after the video went viral, she provided an update, revealing that she had gotten a message advising her of a chance from the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment.

The text read; “Hi. How are you? You caught my Boss attention on the video you made lamenting how you are unable to get a job in Lagos after NYSC.

“My boss (Mrs. Maureen Ovie – Deputy Director, Federal ministry of labour and employment and Head, Job center Lagos) asked me to reach out to you. How are you faring now? My name is Adebisi – officer, Federal ministry of labour and employment Lagos state office. Kindly respond!”

Although she was first cautious of the message and reluctant because she suspected it was from fraudsters, she ultimately had the bravery to react to the invitation and attend the employability training, where she was given a job.

@nneennaya_ shared her tale in an effort to inspire other job searchers, and she urged individuals in similar situations to always take God seriously and pray for what they deserve.
