A Nigerian woman took to Facebook to express her distress after buying a small quantity of tomatoes for a staggering price of N1,500.
Hope Martins shared her disappointment, stating that she made the purchase on a Sunday and was shocked by the quantity she received. She went on to express her concerns about the deteriorating state of the Nigerian economy.
In her own words, she said, “N1,500 tomatoes this Sunday morning.. Hmmmmm Nigeria this is not wat bargained at all.”
Many other Nigerians who came across her post also voiced their frustrations about the hardships faced in the country and the continuous increase in the cost of food items.
