A man has recounted the story of a Nigerian individual residing in Italy who was apprehended after acquiring a property valued at €400,000, despite lacking a stable employment history.
In a video posted on TikTok, the man elaborated on the details surrounding the arrest. He disclosed that the Nigerian had relocated to Italy in 2016 but had only been employed for a total of eight months since his arrival.
Given his limited work experience, his ability to purchase a house raised red flags among authorities.
Subsequent to the acquisition, law enforcement officials detained him and initiated an investigation. During questioning, he asserted that the funds for the purchase were derived from his employment.
However, upon examining his employment records, the police found that he had indeed only worked for eight months since 2016.
Further inquiries uncovered his involvement in internet fraud, commonly referred to as “Yahoo.”
The narrator remarked: “He arrived in Italy in 2016, and after checking his employment records, authorities found that he had only worked for eight months.”
“He was arrested after buying a house worth €400,000. During interrogation, he insisted the money came from his job, but further checks exposed his fraudulent activities.”
As the video gained traction online, social media users inundated the comment section with their reactions to the incident.
