Nigerian man shares how he mistakenly sent N400K instead of N40K to a fan who requested for financial assistance

  • A Nigerian man mistakenly sent N400K instead of N40K to a fan who requested financial assistance.
    • @LawrenceOkoroPG shared on X that a fan had directly messaged him to request a 100,000 naira favour.

A Nigerian man shared his story of sending a mistake of approximately N400K instead of N40K to a fan who requested financial assistance.

On the microblogging platform X, a user going by the name @LawrenceOkoroPG wrote that a fan had messaged him directly to request a 100,000 naira favor.

Once he made it clear that he could only give 40,000 naira, the excited fan sent over the specifics of his account with great anticipation. But instead of sending N40K, he sent N400K by mistake.

He claims that he requested that the fan provide the extra cash again. However, the fan took out the N100K that he had first begged and sent the man the remaining N300K.

    He wrote,

“Some time last year, someone came to my DM to seek a favour of N100k. I told him I can only give N40k from the N100k. He was excited. He sent his account details and I mistakenly credited N400k. He told me to send my account for refund of the excess, I did and he refunded N300k. He sent an epistle to explain how he urgently needs the 100k. I was lost in disbelief”.
