Nigerian parents lose it when their daughter, who is yet to be admitted to university, asks an iPhone 8 as a birthday present.
A social media sensation documented the moment a teenager confronted her parents over a request that appeared beyond of their control.
The lady wanted an iPhone 8 smartphone for her birthday but was met with mockery from her parents.
Particularly angry, her father scolded her mercilessly for prioritizing a smartphone over getting her into the university, which was their top objective.
The mother, on the other hand, supported the father in bemoaning the fact that their daughter lacked the intelligence to think clearly and make the appropriate priorities.
“There is nothing in this life that pointed to the fact that my future is secured in your hand. Go and sell your body to buy iPhone an; that’s what your mates are doing. Those that have admission to study medicine did not even ask for iPhone, not even you that did not get admission to study Yoruba. Those that got admission on a platter of gold won’t ask for such because they have a future. What matters to them is their admission,” the father said in part.
