Falz, a Nigerian rapper, discussed his unique approach to self-care and well-being in a recent interview with Nollywood actress Osas Ighodaro on her show “Spa with Osas”.
The artist stressed the complex nature of self-care and how important it is for maintaining happiness and preventing burnout.
Falz defined self-care as having multiple aspects, including caring for one’s mind, body, and spirit. He discussed his method of immersing himself in activities that give him pleasure, tranquility, and inspiration. “You want to stay in a happy place; you don’t want to feel unhappy or like there is something missing,” he explained.
The rapper also discussed the physical changes that occur with getting older, especially after reaching the age of thirty. He mentioned how recent years had taken a toll on his body and asked his fellow Nigerians to pay attention to their physical health. “By the time you cross 30, you start to observe things about your body. It may be your stomach today, then your ear or knees, so you have to pay attention to your body,” Falz advised.
Falz emphasized the significance of rest and sleep, cautioning against the hazards of overworking. “If you don’t rest, you will collapse; you can’t cheat nature,” he stated, emphasizing the importance of enough rest for good performance.
