Nigerian singer-songwriter Joseph Akinfenwa Akinwale, better known by his stage name Joeboy, has broken up with Mr. Eazi’s record label, Empawa music.
Nonetheless, the 26-year-old singer signed a two-album deal with Warner Music, a global music powerhouse that represents artists including Ed Sheeran, Cardi B, Burna Boy, and Ckay.
Joeboy has taken on a new role as CEO of his Young Legend label, with label manager Deola Jaiyesimi serving as Head of the label. Joeboy will be in charge of developing the next wave of Afrobeats superstars to be recognized globally.
Notably, businessman and singer Mr. Eazi signed Joeboy to Empawa after finding him in 2017.
