Nigerian young music sensation, Opeyemi Babatunde Rahim popularly known as Lyta has turned new age today May 1st.
The former YBNL Nation singer and songwriter took to his official social media platforms to share photos of him reminding his fans it’s his birthday.
The Kwara State native who grew up in Ajegunle area of Lagos tweeted;
“Thanks to Allah, I’m a year older”
Birthday messages and wishes started pouring in from followers and fans as they pray for him for greater days and more fruitful years ahead.
Meanwhile, Lyta came to limelight as an afropop singer after his record deal with YBNL Nation on February 3, 2018. His breakthrough single, “Time” with YBNL Boss, Olamide was released on February 14, 2018.
In 2019, Lyta exited YBNL Nation as a result of disagreement leading to personal issues with the label. After he left YBNL, he signed with Doro Musik Gang where he released the single, “Monalisa” in July 12, 2019, a song that got the attention of music star, Davido who reached out to Lyta about recording an official remix with him.
After their agreement, Davido and Lyta jetted off to Dakar for the remix and video shoot. The remix of “Monalisa” was later released on 30 August 2019.
Lyta currently has other hit songs to his name, one of which include, “Worry”.
