“Nigerians are distracted by the marital affair of 2Face” – Lawyer

A lawyer, Inibehe Effiong, expressed concern that the attention of Nigerians has shifted towards 2Face’s marital issues rather than holding the government accountable for its actions.

2Face has been in the headlines recently after publicly acknowledging his relationship with Natasha Osawaru, the majority leader of the Edo State House of Assembly.

There are rumors suggesting that the couple is engaged and anticipating the arrival of their first child.

Reflecting on the ongoing situation, the lawyer voiced his apprehension on social media regarding how Nigerians have become preoccupied with “multiple dramas” at a time when there is a significant increase in data prices.

He tweeted,

“One week, multiple dramas. “Nigerian celebrities are keeping us busy and distracted with their personal issues and controversial lives while the situation in the country is worsening. “MTN has diabolically increased the cost of data and there’s no sufficient outrage or protest from us (Nigerians).

“We are preoccupied with Tuface and his marital affairs.”

 In other news, Nigerian artist Davido, also known as David Adeleke, marked the 70th birthday of Oba Adesola Lawal, the Timi of Ede, in a grand way.

The king celebrated this special occasion on February 10, 2025, and Davido presented him with a new car as a gift.

A post on @Blackxcellencee’s Instagram featured pictures of the new SUV that Davido gifted to the king. One image showed the Timi of Ede inside the stunning vehicle.

Another photo of the SUV included a thank-you note to Davido, mentioning that Oba Adesola Lawal appreciated the gift.
