Nigerians have come together to raise millions for a man who gained widespread attention in a video by Asherkine, following revelations that his wife was misrepresenting herself as a single mother online.
Recently, Oluwasegun Anozie, a Nigerian bus driver, became an internet sensation after his interaction with the well-known content creator, Asherkine. During this encounter, Anozie shared his experiences as a commercial driver, detailing the challenges he faces in providing for his family.
In a generous gesture, Asherkine fulfilled Anozie’s request for assistance by delivering a bag of rice and a new television to his residence. Upon arrival, Asherkine met Anozie’s wife and their four children, and he further offered to cover the children’s school fees, in addition to providing the man with 50,000 naira.
Subsequently, it was revealed that Anozie’s wife had been posing as a single mother on social media to solicit donations. When confronted by online users, she maintained her stance, criticizing her marriage and asserting that her children were her sole priority.
In response to the situation, many compassionate individuals online have initiated crowdfunding efforts to support Anozie.
An X influencer, @john_d_doe wrote …

Generous netizens have began contributing various amounts, leading to a significant accumulation of funds for Anozie, reaching millions.
