A video circulating online shows some people from Northern Nigeria joyfully celebrating Donald Trump’s inauguration in a big way, gaining a lot of attention on the internet.
On January 20th, Donald Trump was officially inaugurated as the 47th president of the United States, following Joe Biden. He is the oldest person to take on the presidency and the first president with a felony record. This marks the second time Trump has become president as a member of the Republican Party.
Notable Nigerians, including gospel artist Nathaniel Bassey, musician Cobhams Asuquo, and Pastor W.F. Kumuyi of Deeper Life Church, were present at the inauguration ceremony.
The Northerners, visibly pleased with Trump, celebrated by hosting an extravagant inauguration ceremony in Nigeria for Donald Trump.
In the video, the group was busy putting up decorations for an event to celebrate Trump’s win. They placed a big sign with Donald Trump’s picture on the wall and decorated it with flowers.
This isn’t the first time these Northerners have backed Donald Trump. They had a rally for him before and even wrote a song in his honor after he won the US presidential election.
