Nigerian social media influencer and critic, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman, resumed court proceedings this morning and the outcome has ignited a wave of excitement among his supporters, including celebrity blogger Tunde Ednut.
Recall that the social media critic was earlier arraigned by the Nigeria Police Force on five counts bordering on cyberstalking.
The police prosecution moved to have the popular social media critic remanded in prison custody but his lawyers, which includes Deji Adeyanju made an application for him to be kept in police custody.
The court granted their request and he was subsequently taken to the National Cybercrime Centre.
Deji Adeyanju also applied for bail but the prosecution team asked Justice Mobolaji Olajuwon of the Federal High Court for more time to respond, leading the court to adjourn the bail hearing to today, June 10.
In a recent turn of events, Verydarkman was spotted arriving in court this morning, alongside Deji Adeyanju, while those in attendance, including supporters and spectators, were seated and anticipating the commencement of the hearing.
