The electoral complaints Tribunal has warned Nigerians to expect a lengthy decision in the complaints filed against President Bola Tinubu’s victory in the 2023 presidential election.
Justice Haruna Tsammani, the Chairman of the five-member panel of justices and the Head of the Court of Appeal in Abuja, revealed this on Wednesday during his opening remarks ahead of the court sessions.
“Today, we have reached the pinnacle of these proceedings,” he remarked. We ask for your patience because the ruling is somewhat lengthy.“
Justice Tsammani stated that the tribunal will begin its proceedings with the petition of Peter Obi and the Labour Party challenging Bola Tinubu’s (APC) win.
Others at the tribunal are Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed, Nasawara State Governor Abdullahi Sule, Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State, Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, and Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State.
