In a weather report issued on Monday, the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) predicted thunderstorms and cloudiness in Nigeria from Tuesday to Thursday.
The northern region would experience brief periods of sunshine, according to NiMet.
The morning hours were predicted to bring thunderstorms to parts of the states of Adamawa, Taraba, Sokoto, Zamfara, Katsina, Kebbi, and Kaduna.
According to the report, sporadic thunderstorms will continue to develop throughout the day over portions of the states of Bauchi, Gombe, Adamawa, Taraba, and Kaduna.
Throughout parts of Nasarawa, the Federal Capital Territory, Niger, Kwara, Kogi, and Benue states, thunderstorms are anticipated in the early morning hours.

According to it, a cloudy atmosphere is anticipated over the southern inland states and the coastal states, with the possibility of morning thunderstorms over parts of the states of Osun, Oyo, Ekiti, Ogun, Lagos, Akwa Ibom, Rivers, Bayelsa, and Cross River.
Later in the day, the agency predicted thunderstorms to be over portions of the states of Imo, Abia, Ekiti, Ebonyi, Ondo, Oyo, Anambra, Enugu, Edo, Delta, Lagos, Cross River, Rivers, Bayelsa, and Akwa Ibom.
On Wednesday, NiMet foresaw cloudy skies in the northern region, with brief periods of sunshine, and thunderstorms possible in the early morning hours over parts of the states of Adamawa, Taraba, and Gombe.
Later in the day, it called for thunderstorms to pass over portions of the states of Bauchi, Kaduna, and Zamfara.
A cloudy atmosphere with morning thunderstorms is expected over parts of the states of Niger, Kogi, and Benue, according to NiMet.
The Federal Capital Territory, Nasarawa States, and portions of the Plateau are expected to experience thunderstorms later in the day.

Later in the day, NiMet predicted thunderstorms and rain to affect portions of the states of Ogun, Ondo, Oyo, Ekiti, Osun, Edo, Cross River, Rivers, Bayelsa, Lagos, Delta, and Akwa Ibom.
According to the agency, Thursday will be cloudy with periods of sunshine over the northern region in the morning, with the possibility of thunderstorms over some of the states of Zamfara, Kaduna, Kebbi, Sokoto, and Katsina.
It also stated that, a cloudy atmosphere with a chance of thunderstorms over some of Kogi and Benue states in the morning hours is expected over the North Central region.
“Isolated thunderstorms are expected over portions of Niger, the Federal Capital Territory, and Plateau states later today,” the agency added.
“In the morning hours, cloudy skies are expected over parts of the states of Oyo, Ogun, and Lagos, as well as the coastal states and cities in the South.
“Thunderstorms are expected over portions of the states of Enugu, Ekiti, Osun, Edo, Rivers, Delta, and Bayelsa later in the day.”
NiMet predicts that moderate to heavy rainfall may cause flash floods. The general public is advised to exercise the appropriate caution and refrain from driving or walking through floodwaters. “.
