Reality television personality and former Big Brother Naija contestant, Nina Chinonso Onyenobi, also known as Nina Ivy, has engaged in the ongoing discourse regarding Afro-reggae artist 2Baba and his estranged spouse, Annie Idibia.
Through a series of posts on her social media platform, Nina expressed her views on 2Baba’s recent remarks concerning his separation and impending divorce from Annie Idibia.
Nina Ivy criticized 2Baba for choosing to make a public statement at this sensitive time, fully aware of the challenges his wife is facing regarding her mental health.
She emphasized that it was shameful for 2Baba to announce their separation and the fact that they were in the process of filing for divorce while Annie was struggling.
The beauty and fashion entrepreneur further asserted that she could never enter into a relationship or marriage with a man who prioritizes public perception over her health and well-being.
Nina Ivy accused 2Baba of mocking Annie Idibia.
In her remarks, Nina alluded to Annie’s health issues, which have been a topic of speculation since 2Baba’s announcement.
She pointed out that the actress is currently experiencing a difficult period, and this was not an appropriate time for her estranged husband to disclose their separation, let alone the divorce.
Nina articulated that issuing a statement during such a vulnerable moment was not only vindictive but also cast the singer in an unfavorable light. The former reality star remarked that this action was akin to 2Baba taunting Annie during her lowest point.
Shortly after the news of 2Baba and Annie Idibia’s divorce filing gained traction, gossip blogger Stella Dimorkorkus published a report indicating that Annie was presently undergoing rehabilitation for substance abuse.
Here is a excerpt of Nina Ivy’s post criticizing 2Baba:
“I can never, ever, ever be with a man who seeks public validation-never. A man who would dare to use my lowest moments to taunt me on social media? Absolutely not. A man who wouldn’t prioritize or support my mental health? Never, ever. Emphasis on never.”
