Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has responded to critics after a video surfaced showing her looking noticeably different from the flawless appearance she usually shares online.

The actress had attended the grand 50th birthday celebration of businessman Obi Cubana, where she originally posted well-filtered videos of herself, flaunting a smooth and polished look.

However, controversy arose when media personality Daddy Freeze uploaded an unfiltered video from the same event, capturing Nkechi in a more natural state. Some social media users were quick to point out the contrast and attempted to shame her for it.

In a swift reaction, Nkechi Blessing released a video defending herself. She explained that she has control over the content she shares on her personal platforms and doesn’t concern herself with how she appears in footage shared by others.

“I control my narrative. If I use filters on my page, that’s my choice. How I appear on someone else’s camera isn’t my business,” she asserted.

“How you see me on other people’s page is solely your business, your father’s business, your mother’s business, your whole generation’s business,” she stated in the video. “On my own page, I will post how I want you to see me. And another thing, you see my filter, I will never stop using it.”
