The alleged statement’s author, Benson Upah, insisted that the NLC had not yet made a statement following the deadline it had given the authorities to respond.
The head of the NLC’s information department stated that the organization understands Nigerians’ concerns regarding its demands for a wage award, a new minimum wage, and a subsidy removal palliative, to which the government has not yet given a positive response.
