Angry Mob in Onitsha, Anambra state has set the statue of the former President of Nigeria, the late Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe ablaze.
Nnamdi Azikwe’s status located at Denis Memorial Grammar School Roundabout, Awka Avenue, Onitsha, known as Zik Roundabout.
The angry mob doused the statue with petrol and set it ablaze, as they accused Azikiwe for causing the problem of Nigeria. As the stature burnt, the mob were chanting “You put us in this mess by championing one Nigeria,” “You are the cause of our trouble,” amongst other unpleasant remark.
Across the Nation, the hoodlums and thugs hijacked the protest, as many government and private properties has been, vandalized, looted and set on fire.
