Nnamdi Kanu slams Southeast Governors For prohibition Of IPOB

The Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu has lambasted the five Southeast governors, the Ohanaeze Ndigbo leaders and “some self-acclaimed” Igbo political elite for their ignoble roles in the proscription of his group.

Kanu, in a statement on Wednesday by IPOB Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, also blamed them for the herdsmen and bandits attacks in Igboland.

The IPOB leader described the Southeast governors, the Ohanaeze leadership and the self-acclaimed Igbo political leaders as “traitors and saboteurs”, who have a debt to pay.

”We are monitoring and taking records of every single attack on our people,” he said in the statement, lamenting that the slaughtering in Igboland has since 2015 continued unabated.

Kanu also said that he was aware of house -to- house search for Biafrans in Enugu, Imo, Aba, and Ebonyi states as well as in Asaba, Delta State by security agencies.

He lamented that the whereabouts of 16 Biafrans abducted last week in Abia State had remained unknown.

Kanu said “By conniving with the enemies to get rid of IPOB that is the only defence line of Biafra nation, these saboteurs have opened our land for constant attack and humiliation by Fulani terrorists, herdsmen and bandits.

“In their bid to appease and impress their Northern masters for political reward, these traitors outlawed IPOB, a peaceful movement, and paved the way for its eventual proscription as a terrorist organization.

“Ever since then, how have they protected or defended Biafra land against incessant Fulani unprovoked attacks?

“We are aware of the on-going house-to-house search by security operatives designed to pick up and eliminate Biafrans in Enugu, Imo, Aba and Ebonyi States as well Asaba and Igweocha.

“Just last week at Ohafia in Abia State, they abducted Mazi Okewu Agwu from his home and many others including Mazi Samuel Arua Eme, Mazi Kalu Iroha Amogu, Mazi David Agwu and 12 others whose names are yet to be established till now.

“This continued state – sponsored attacks and secret murder of IPOB members and Biafrans in general must stop. Let it be on record therefore, that anyone – man or woman, civilian or security agent, directly or remotely involved in killing IPOB member has a debt to pay no matter how long it takes.

“We are monitoring and taking records of every single attack on our people and how the Nigerian government and her security agencies abduct IPOB members and use chemicals and acid to murder many of our people in their custody to conceal evidence.”

The IPOB leader therefore called on the international communities to prevail on the Nigerian government and security agencies to stop the genocide against Biafrans.
