Nollywood veteran actor Bimbo Manuel has asserted that no actor in Nigeria is able to purchase a Range Rover solely through their earnings from acting.
He indicated that many of his peers, who showcase opulent homes and vehicles on social media, are leading “fake” lifestyles.
Manuel made these remarks during a recent appearance on the TVC program, Your View.
“The actors you see flaunting Range Rovers and mansions in Ikoyi are living fake lives.
“No actor in Nigeria would say he or she can buy a Range Rover from acting fees alone,” he said.
At 66 years of age, he expressed that he has no interest in maintaining a lavish lifestyle, as he prefers “a humble and realistic life.”
In other news, Big Brother Naija reality stars, Wanni and Handi Danbaki, have disclosed that they occasionally exchange identities.
In a recent episode of the BTS podcast, Handi shared an incident where Wanni impersonated her during a date with a prospective boyfriend while she was occupied with another man.
Handi elaborated that she had accepted invitations for simultaneous dates with two different individuals and requested Wanni to attend one of the dates in her stead.
She said, “Back then in university, I had two dates. I don’t even know why I even picked them at the same time.
“One day with two different guys. So I was like, ‘Wanni, I have these two guys, they want to see me. So you go see one while I go see the other. Go there, have fun and tell me everything you guys talked about and I will know how to take it up from there.’
“The annoying thing is that she had fun with the man more than I had with the one I went for. So, yeah, we do switch places.”
Wanni inferred, “We play pranks on people. I have taken a test for her [Handi] before.”
