• Nigerian Actress Shola Subair Faces Backlash online over the controversial birthday photos she shares online.
• The photos were allegedly photoshopped onto the body of an Iraqi influencer.
• The backlash intensified when the images were identified as not hers.
• In response, she deleted the controversial photos from her social media accounts.
Nigerian actress Shola Subair, also known as Sholly Cutie, has come under criticism online for releasing her birthday images, with suspicions that she photoshopped her head onto the body of an Iraqi influencer.
The Yoruba movie star’s effort to commemorate her special day with fresh photographs immediately became contentious when astute social media users recognised the pics as not being hers.
The outrage grew once it was found that the photographs apeared to belong to an Iraqi influencer.
According to reports, Subair altered her head onto the influencer’s body in an effort to pass off the manipulated photographs as her own.
Critics have chastised the actress for projecting a false picture of herself and accusing her of lacking self-esteem.
Sholly Cutie deleted the contentious photographs from her social media handles in reaction to the outpouring of criticism.
“Which Nigerian actress is this?? Photoshopped your head on another lady’s pictures and post them as yours?? People dey drink shamelessness,” the post read.
