Nollywood actress and Comedienne, Wofai Fada has shared pictures of her civil wedding to Taiwo Cole. On Instagram on Sunday evening, Wofai gave fans a glimpse of the ceremony, which took place at the Ikoyi registry in Lagos.
In her first post, Wofai appeared in a white short gown, holding a bouquet and standing beside Cole, who wore a blue suit. Her caption read, “Every love story is beautiful, but ours is my favorite. Legally hitched.” The second post included a video of the couple at the registry, capturing various intimate moments.
This civil wedding followed their traditional ceremony in May, where the couple dressed in Ugep culture attire from Cross River. However, Wofai faced disapproval from her in-laws, who publicly expressed opposition to the marriage. Cole’s family issued a statement distancing themselves from the union, claiming they were unaware of it. Unconfirmed reports suggest that Cole’s father objected to the marriage due to the age difference between the couple. The statement noted that all acquaintances, family, and friends were not aware of any marriage between Taiwo Olakitan Cole and Wofai Fada, and no permission was granted. They advised the public to disregard any publications and documents being circulated about the wedding.
