Award-winning filmmaker and producer Bolanle Austen-Peters recently celebrated her 56th birthday with a sense of gratitude and reflection on her life’s journey thus far.

On Tuesday, she shared a video on Instagram, where the founder of Terra Kulture expressed her appreciation for her achievements and the significant individuals in her life.

“Stepping into 56 years of boldly achieving purpose. Blessed, accomplished, and poised… Walking through our garden, I reflected on everything God has done for me and all I can say is ‘THANK YOU LORD’ for making me a Beautiful African Princess (BAP) with the Baddest Amazing Productions (BAP),” she wrote.

Austen-Peters also expressed her anticipation for new beginnings, stating, “I am looking up to God Almighty for the journeys ahead of me and thanking all my loved ones for being part of my making.”

Numerous Nollywood celebrities, including Joke Silva, Yvonne Jegede, Stan Nze, Adunni Ade, and Mercy Aigbe, participated in the celebration of her special day.

A prominent figure in Nigeria’s arts and entertainment sector, Austen-Peters established Terra Kulture in 2003, creating a cultural hub for art and theater in Lagos.

A decade later, she founded Bolanle Austen-Peters Productions (BAP), debuting with the critically acclaimed Saro the Musical, which later graced London’s West End.

Her foray into film included directing 93 Days (2016), a compelling drama about Nigeria’s battle against Ebola, which garnered international acclaim.

Since then, she has directed The Bling Lagosians (2019), Collision Course (2020), and Man of God (2022), each addressing various facets of Nigerian society.
