Dotun, a popular radio personality, has brought victims of the Lekki teargas shooting to explain what happened between the police and the victims.
In the late hours of Tuesday, reports surfaced that police used tear gas to disperse the enormous crowd that had gathered for Mohbad’s candlelight procession.
According to accounts, victims were apprehended at the Lekki toll booth, where Lagos police unleashed unjustified teargas on them.
In a separate vein, Dotun, an on-air personality, has taken to Twitter to recount the situation that led to the police using tear gas.
According to him, the candlelight parade ended at Muri Okunola Park at 8 p.m., and participants dispersed, but some of the mob opted to go to the Lekki toll gate to wreak disruption.
