Prominent media figure, Tools Oniru, has commented on the ongoing situation involving UK-based clergyman, Pastor Tobi Adegboyega.
The Nigerian Voice reports that investigations revealed Pastor Tobi Adegboyega, founder of SPAC Nation, misappropriated approximately £1.87 million from his church’s funds. Following scrutiny, he failed to provide a satisfactory explanation for the missing funds and was deemed lacking in transparency regarding the financial management of the church.
Furthermore, Pastor Tobi Adegboyega is also contending with allegations of residing unlawfully in the UK, as his visitor’s visa expired in 2005. An immigration tribunal has ruled that he should be deported back to Nigeria.
In response to these developments, Toolz expressed her inability to refer to Pastor Tobi Adegboyega as a pastor. She voiced her concerns, highlighting how his actions have negatively impacted the reputation of his nephew, Hollywood actor John Boyega.
Toolz wrote:
“John Boyega never claimed this fellow (I refuse to say Pastor) and see how his name has been dragged into this mess. Pøor guy.”
