Olusegun Obasanjo, the ex-President of Nigeria, held discussions with the First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, on Monday.
The meeting between Obasanjo and Mrs. Tinubu was announced to the public by the First Lady’s media spokesperson, Busola Kukoyi, through X.
Sharing photos of the two individuals, Kukoyi wrote: “Former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Chief Olusegun Obasanjo and the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Senator Oluremi Tinubu after receiving the Former President who came felicitating on the Sallah Celebration on Monday 17th June.”
Just two days ago Obasanjo was spotted wearing a cap adorned with President Bola Tinubu’s emblem.
GISTLOVER previously shared a video of Obasanjo donning the cap at a gathering attended by various African dignitaries.
Despite hailing from the same Southwest geopolitical zone, Obasanjo and Tinubu are affiliated with different political parties.
In the 2023 presidential election, the former President showed his support for Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate.
