Ogbonna Kanu Cuts Off Braids to Celebrate Wife Laura Ikeji On Her Birthday [Photos]

Retired Nigerian footballer, Ogbonna Kanu has cut his braids for the first time in many years, to celebrate his wife, Laura Ikeji, on her birthday which would be on the 15th day of March.

According to his wife Laura, it’s her best birthday gift ever “Dude cut his braids for me!!!!! Haaaaa, best birthday gift everrrrr!!! My baby for life! kinda liked the braids too.” she wrote

Hours later, IG Ogbonna shared photos of himself  with his braided hair all gone.

Ogbonna Kanu played for Ajax just like his brother from 1996-2002. In 2002, he made his debut for the Super Eagles in a World Cup qualifier against Eritrea. He also represented Nigeria at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney.

The couple who got married last year, have had their own fair share of public banters on social media. In January 2018, Mother of three and wife of Nigeria’s most decorated Footballer, Kanu Nwankwo, Amara Kanu took to Instagram to blast the heck out of Ogbonna Kanu, her husband’s younger brother.

This is coming after Ogbonna posted a ticket to a game on his Instagram page. Amara is claiming the ticket belongs to her sons.

Recall that in June 2017, Ogbonna Kanu was busted on Instagram for showing off ‘Fake Life’, when he hinted that he was travelling outside the country with a photo he posted on Instagram, only for Nigerians to expose him for using old photos to ‘deceive’ his followers.

It was discovered that the flight photo he shared on his Instagram about flying to New York, was actually an old photo from 2016, when he flew with his older brother Nwankwo Kanu on Qatar Airways.
