“Olumba Olumba is king of kings” — Actor Vincent Opurum Declares

  • Vincent Opurum visited the headquarters of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star (BCS) in Cross River State.
  • A viral video of a visit went viral on Tuesday night, although it was unclear if it occurred recently.
  • Vincent expressed his gratitude for meeting Olumba Olumba, also known as Rowland, the leader of the brotherhood, who was responsible for the visit during his speech.

Actor Vincent Opurum recently visited the headquarters of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star (BCS) located in Cross River State.

A video documenting this visit gained significant attention on social media on Tuesday night, although the exact timing of the visit remains uncertain.

During his address, Vincent attributed the visit to one of his colleagues and expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet the leader of the brotherhood, Olumba Olumba, also known as Rowland.

“I am privileged to celebrate, alongside the brethren, the king of kings and the lord of lords,” he remarked.

In recent developments, a video surfaced showing worshippers vandalizing a portrait of Rowland, who heads one faction of the sect, while Olumba’s daughter, Ibum, leads another faction. Following the death of their father, both Rowland and Ibum, along with their respective followers, are asserting their claims to leadership within the 68-year-old organization, resulting in a division within the group, which is based in the Biakpan community of Cross River State.

However, Amah Williams, the spokesperson for the brotherhood, stated that there is no crisis within the organization.

“Our headquarters in Calabar is getting ready to host the annual divine manifestation event of Olumba.

“The videos trending in the social media space, especially on Facebook did not originate from the world headquarters of the organisation.

“The world headquarters of BCS is safe, calm, and peaceful.

“Members of BCS shall be hosting their 2024 Universal Celebration of the Divine Manifestation of Olumba, with the theme ‘The Unshakable King’ from November 18 to November 24 in Calabar,” he said.
