Nigeria’s music industry is known for its controversies, especially regarding claims of idea theft.
Omah Lay, also called Stanley Omah Didia, recounted a painful experience that prompted him to completely remake his album.
The Nigerian Afro-pop artist chatted with media figure Zach Sang on his show about how his track “Holy Ghost” showcases a fresh movement in Afrobeat.
He had plan to create something new for his upcoming album when a colleague he admired came to share ideas with him.
Omah Lay revealed that he shared his album concepts with these artists, but just four months later, they produced their own album based on his ideas.
Following this issue, Omah, who was criticized for a bold interaction with a lady, mentioned that he had to rework his album.
