A video showing the first encounter between Ghanaian crooner King Promise and well-known Nigerian musician Omah Lay has gone viral online.
In the video, Omah Lay shook King Promise’s hand and then turned to go without noticing that King Promise made a move for a hug.
King Promise was compelled to lower one of his hands that had been lifted for a hug when he realized how quickly Omah Lay had left.
The Instagram blogger who shared the video included a caption that said,
“Wahala!!! Ghanaians dey vex sey our very own Omah Lay no gree hug their own King Promise.”*

The clip generated a lot of comments from netizens who shared their thoughts regarding the duo’s encounter while some believed that Omah Lay rebuffed King Promise’s hug, others insisted that Omah Lay didn’t notice that King Promise wanted a hug as he immediately walked away after the handshake.
