The recent funfair organized for the children of Queen Naomi Silekunola, the ex-wife of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, has gained significant attention online following a tragic incident.
Reports indicate that on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, the event, which was intended to be a joyful occasion, resulted in the unfortunate deaths of over 30 children due to a stampede at the location. It has been revealed that the event was designed to accommodate 5,000 attendees; however, the actual turnout reached 7,500, leading to difficulties in providing food and other complimentary items.
To promote the funfair, Queen Naomi had previously shared a promotional poster on social media, detailing the event’s offerings.
