Ooni of Ife welcomes baby boy with queen Ashley after losing twins

The Ooni of Ife, HRM Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, and his fourth wife, Olori Folashade Ashley Ogunwusi, have welcomed a baby boy.

The joyful news was shared by the king on his official Instagram, along with a photo capturing the happy moment with his queen.

This follows five months after the Ooni of Ife welcomed twins, a boy and a girl, with his third wife, Olori Tobi Phillips.

Olori Ashley became one of the Queens in the royal court of Oduduwa in 2022, appointed by the first class monarch. She is a princess from the Lafogido ruling House of Ile-Ife and holds a Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Greenwich. She operates her businesses in the United Kingdom.

Additionally, she leads an NGO called the Ashley Adegoke Foundation, which supports underprivileged children and widows.

This will be the first child of Olori Folashade, and messages of congratulations are flooding in for the queen and the Ooni of Ife.

The news reads, “To God be the glory great things he has done. Hearty congratulations to the entire House of Oduduwa and Olori Folashade, who today birthed a Prince from the mother side of Ooni Adagba Royal Compound of Lafogido Ruling House and father side of Ooni Agbedegbede Royal Compound of Giesi Ruling house combined to the Royal throne of Oduduwa. Mother and child are doing well to the glory of God Almighty and in line with the spirits of our ancestors.”
