In 2020, the Ooni of Ife welcomed his first son from his now ex-wife, Olori Silekunola, and he was super excited about it!
Speaking out about her son’s birth, Prophetess Naomi, recounted how the societal pressure made the journey to motherhood difficult for her. She opened up about the difficult experience she had prior to conception.
Making reference to her story, the queen said conception becomes tougher for women when they are constantly reminded of their fertility struggles.
It is no longer news that the Ooni and Queen Naomi have parted ways.
In December 2022, Naomi surprised many when she announced the end of her 3-year marriage to the monarch in a statement on her Instagram page.
Speaking on her divorce, the mother of the crowned Prince, Tadenikawo, ruled out the possibility of returning to the palace, as she noted how the monarch now has six wives, hence, why she can’t return to the palace. Though there were sweet moments in her marriage, there were also bitter moments.
She said that she was too innocent and soft when she got married to the King. But, she has learned now that life isn’t like that.
