American television host Oprah Winfrey has addressed allegations suggesting that she received $1 million to support the Democratic Party’s candidate in the recent US presidential election, Kamala Harris.
In her response, she dismissed the claims as false.
It is important to note that the Washington Examiner reported that Winfrey’s company, Harpo Productions, was compensated for hosting a celebrity town hall event for Harris in September.
In her clarification, the renowned talk show host emphasized that she did not accept any payment to endorse the Democratic nominee.
“Not true. I was paid nothing, ever,” Oprah was quoted by TMZ.
Oprah chose not to comment on the election results, which concluded with Donald Trump, the Republican Party’s nominee, being declared the President-elect.
In other news, Media figure DaddyFreeze has criticized Pastor Emmanuel Iren regarding his reaction to Peter Obi’s statements.
Obi urged Nigerians to prioritize their work commitments over nighttime vigils.
He emphasized that, as a Christian, he encourages individuals to know God and participate in church activities, but he believes it is essential not to devote all their time to church attendance. He argued that this approach would enhance the nation’s productivity.
In response, Pastor Iren opposed Obi’s perspective, advocating for Christians to maintain their faith through regular attendance at vigils.
In his rebuttal, DaddyFreeze condemned the pastor’s stance and expressed his views.
“Peter Obi don touch the pocket of Iren o. The annointing is annoyed. What an annoying thing. Baba submit powerpoint presentation to defend his enterprise. Nigeria needs more night shifts than night vigils and that’s on point. Pasta dey shalaye, make office no go close for him head.
