A significant wave of outrage has emerged on the Instagram account of renowned Nigerian music figure, Michael Collins Ajereh, commonly referred to as Don Jazzy, following allegations regarding his considerable financial contribution to Nigerian crossdresser Idris Okuneye, known as Bobrisky.

Disgruntled fans, feeling a sense of betrayal and confusion, have expressed their discontent by inundating his social media platforms with a barrage of criticism.

This backlash ensued after Bobrisky made headlines by publicly acknowledging and expressing gratitude to male celebrities who generously contributed a remarkable total of N30.6 million to his cause.

This revelation came on the heels of his earlier commendation of prominent female celebrities, such as Tonto Dikeh and Funke Akindele, who had collectively donated N18.7 million.

However, the most surprising aspect was Bobrisky’s decision to highlight the male supporters, disclosing notable contributions: Don Jazzy from Mavin Records allegedly donated an astonishing N4 million, football star Victor Osimhen contributed N3 million, actor Yhemo Lee added N1.5 million, and socialite Abu Abel contributed N1 million.

The male celebs on Bobrisky’s list have since found themselves in hot water, none more so than Don Jazzy.

His admirers are particularly angered by what they regard as a betrayal of traditional values, unleashing a full-fledged verbal assault accusing him of supporting the normalization of gay practices in Nigeria.
